Anonymous sources claimed Claire was controlling, emotionally cold, and obsessed with power.
Photographs appeared online showing Evan and Madison together.
The captions called Madison his “new beginning.”
Madison received hundreds of hateful messages.
Claire’s board members panicked.
Some suggested she take temporary leave to protect the company.
Claire entered the emergency board meeting carrying the original loan documents from the first hotel.
She placed them on the table.
“My inheritance guaranteed this company when no bank trusted us.”
Then she showed them the forged transfers and the missing funds.
“If anyone believes the person who uncovered fraud should step aside for the man who committed it, say so now.”
No one spoke.
The board voted unanimously to remove Evan from every management position.
