Two years after the afternoon Vanessa stood in Claire’s living room, Harbor House opened its expanded wing.
Lily came home from college for the ceremony.
Vanessa, now working for a nonprofit financial advocacy group, stood near the back.
Daniel arrived quietly and stayed out of the photographs.
Claire gave a short speech.
She spoke about fear.
